Check You Out

just a little note

Hopping on for a quick post today to share this fun card with the Check You Out stamp set. Perfect to send to your favorite bookworm, student or teacher!

I added in a couple of retired stamps – the notepaper and alphabet backgrounds. They are perfect additions to this adorable set. Colors used are Blueberry Bushel, Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green.

I’m back today with another card with the Check You Out stamp set. I love this stamp set. It is so much fun! This card is one I designed for a recent card swap with other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.

That little worm is so stinkin’ cute! Look at him and his little bow tie. Such a dapper little guy. This was a fun card to design. The colors play off of the cheerful smile the little worm is giving. I like how the layered circles off set the edges of the stack of books. Colors are Pool Party, Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake.

The card I made to swap had a couple of minor changes. I used a scalloped circle punch instead of the scalloped die for the Daffodil Delight circle. The punch was just a little bigger. I also left off the rhinestones.

Do you enjoy reading? I love to read. I was so excited to see the Check You Out stamp set in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog. I knew it would be on my first order. It is so cute! This card started as a swap design, but I went a different direction. I had some of these pieces laying on my desk and decided to put them together with this result.

What a fun card this would be to give a graduate! That little owl is just darling. Here’s a closer look at the detail with the heart.

And a look at the inside.

Who is your favorite author? For me, Tolkein and C.S. Lewis are at the top.
