osat blog hop: new review

Hello, friends! It is time for this month’s One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! June is always a fun month as the NEW Stampin’ Up! catalog is released. That means loads of fun new stamp sets and other goodies to create with. It only seems right that this month’s OSAT theme is a New Review. I can’t wait to see what exciting new products the design team has chose to spotlight!

I chose to use a new stamp set called Tasteful Touches and a new die from the Forever Fern die set. This fun card and gift bag duo would brighten anyone’s day!

I just love the vintage/country look I was able to achieve. I stamped one of the background images from the set repeatedly to cover the tag and card base. stamping a few times before re-inking helped create depth and shading, although it is hard to see in the photos. I think it gives a vintage wallpaper look. Card base and tag were also splattered with gold shimmer paint.

The leaves were cut out of vellum. It gives a nice soft layer of texture without adding more color. The flower petals are colored with Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends, with a little Petal Pink for highlights, center is Mango melody and Daffodil Delight.

This stamp set is going to be a lot of fun to work with! Now, go see what the rest of the design team has in store. And start making your wish list! PLEASE CLICK THE BLUE BOX FOR A POP UP LIST OF THE DESIGN TEAM.

osat blog hop: manly may

Hello my crafty friends! Welcome to the monthly One Stamp at a Time Blog Hop! This month our theme is cards/ projects for men. I have to admit, these kind of projects don’t come easy for me. I tend to work in more florals and softer colors with ribbon and bling. But, I also love a challenge. Here is what I came up with.

A fun Father’s Day card and gift box for a car lovin’ guy. My color scheme is Basic Black, Basic Gray, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Crushed Curry.

I used the die cut gears to help add some texture and detail. On the box, I did add one of the wrenches from the Classic Garage Metal embellishments on the box. Otherwise, it is just stamps, ink and paper.

osat blog hop: chick ewe out

Hello friends! It is time for the monthly One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop. This month’s hop is an animal theme and the OSAT Design Team has some fun projects in store. Be sure to make your way through the complete blog hop roster. You don’t want to miss anything!

Last month I received the BEST Valentine gift ever. My first Grandchild was born!!! She has completely stolen my heart.

So naturally with baby on my mind, I create a couple of fun projects to welcome a sweet little girl.

I just adore this sweet little bunny from the Fable Friends stamp set. Reminds me so much of Peter Rabbit. Paired with the Beautiful Bouquet background stamp and some sweet Blushing Bride gingham DSP, you end up with a perfect gift pair.

I colored the little bunny with my Stampin’ Blends. I love the shading you can get. The Beautiful Bouquet is stamped with white ink on a Gray Granite card base. I sponged Pool Party ink on the oval with the sentiment to achieve a lighter shade of Pool Party. Isn’t he adorable peeking out from the heart opening?

I made a little gift box using one of the Mini Pizza Boxes. I stamped the Beautiful Bouquet in Gray Granite ink. I also used the heart cut out from the card. The “baby” is cut out of Whisper White card stock and sponged with Pool Party ink for a soft shade to match the oval on the card.

Thanks for stopping by. I am going back to staring at photos of my sweet little Granddaughter!

OSAT blog hop: sixteen candles

Welcome to another fantastic blog hop with the talented One Stamp At A Time Design Team! Our theme this month, “Sixteen Candles”, has us creating fun birthday projects. I can’t wait to see what everyone on the team came up with!

As for me, I had some fun playing with the Birthday Bonanza Suite. I love this suite as it works for kids of all ages: 1 to 101! Who wouldn’t love this card and treat bag duo!

This card layout came from the talented Mercedes Weber. I cased a swap card I got from her a couple of years ago. It is a great way to 1. show off multiple patterns in a DSP pack. 2. use up those paper scraps.

I adapted the layout for the treat bag.

The Mango Melody piece is inside the cello bag. The DSP strips, Doily and Toucan are on the outside. Lots of possibilities for this adorable little bag!

Be sure to check out the great Birthday creations from the rest of the OSAT design team. You can find the full blog roll call by clicking on the BLUE rectangle below. Be sure to make your way through the full blog hop. You don’t want to miss any of the amazing talent that awaits you.

OSAT Blog Hop: purses, poppies and Paris

Welcome to the first One Stamp At A Time design team blog hop of 2020! For this blog hop we are featuring products int he new Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog. I am putting the Tropical Oasis Suite center stage today. I created a fun tropical card and an adorable little 3D pineapple!

The card uses the beautiful Tropical Oasis designer series paper, Timeless Tropical stamp set and In the Tropics dies. I also used the fun circle stamp from the Swirly Frames set.

For the adorable 3D pineapple, I followed a pattern from Martha Inchley. you can find her pattern and a video tutorial HERE. I followed her pattern, but used the pineapple top from the In the Tropics dies. I cut three of them, folded them in half and glued them together. It didn’t matter that they didn’t match up exactly, it added to the rough look a pineapple has.

I added some linen thread through the leaves so it could be hung if you wanted.

osat blog hop: winter festival

Hello, friends! Welcome to the final OSAT blog hop for 2019. We are shining a spotlight on projects with a “Winter Festival” theme. So much creativity in this hop. Make sure you don’t miss anything!

I have a cute trio of projects for you today featuring the Most Wonderful Time product medley in the Stampin’ up! 2019 Holiday Catalog.

Don’t you just LOVE the designer series paper in this medley amazing! The photo doesn’t bring out the gold foil accents, but they make it even more gorgeous!

I stamped the tree on shimmer white card stock and went over it with my aquapainter for a faint watercolor look. The fun tinsel trim adds a fun festive touch.

I used the same designer series paper to make a small medallion ornament and treat box. The treat box would work as an ornament as well.

I hope you have enjoyed these fun holiday projects. Be sure to check out the full blog hop for even more festive inspiration! you can find the full design team list by clicking on the blue rectangle below.

oast blog hop: end of summer

Hello crafty friends! Can you believe it is August already? Man the summer went fast. I’m really not ready to head into fall yet. Fitting that today’s One Stamp At A Time blog hop theme is End of Summer. Get ready for some great creative inspiration!

My take on this theme was to focus on adventure. Adventure that was had this summer or adventure yet to come: the next school year, going off to college, going from college into the work force, one more get away before fall, or maybe looking ahead to next summer’s adventures.

This fun card and coordinating tin would be great to send off a college freshman or for someone starting a new job or moving. The feature the Silhouette Scenes stamp set and coordinating Sweet Silhouettes dies.

I love the Blueberry Bushel gingham print peeking out.

I had this cute little tin so I decided to decorate it. It would be a great way to give a gift of cash to a graduate or to save up for your own adventure! I added some depth with the Crackle Paint background stamp.

I’m going to send you on over to Jeanna. You will love her interpretation of this fun theme.

osat blog hop: down on the farm

Thanks for stopping by! Today is the monthly One Stamp At A Time blog hop. Our theme is Down On The Farm. Be sure to take the full tour to see all of the great interpretations on this theme. I decided to take a farmhouse chic approach to my project.

I recently created a home decor piece and used it as inspiration for today’s projects. Here is my decor piece:

Here is my interpretation of this in card form:

I used the Basic Gray gingham print from the Neutrals 6″x6″ DSP stack. The sentiment is from Dandelion Wishes stamp set. The Sprigs are punched out of Granny Apple Green card stock and tied with Linen Thread. I also created a smaller decor piece.

This is a small monogramed 4″x4″ canvas. I used the same gingham dsp and sprig punch. I cut out three “h”s with the Hand Lettered Prose dies and layered them for depth.

Inspiration is all around. See what ideas you can find from decor pieces and let your creativity run!

osat blog hop: something old, something new

The One Stamp At A Time crew is back with another blog hop! Our theme this month is Something Old, Something New – blending new and returning products in the 2019-20 Stampin’ Up! catalog. I love this time of year. All the new goodies bringing fresh inspiration and breathing new life into the supplies I already have. This hop is a great way to look at older supplies with a fresh eye.

For my projects I chose to pair the old Flourish die set, Well Said stamp set which carried over from the Occasions catalog and the NEW In Color Seaside Spray. I was die cutting lots of the flower for a swap and trying to maximize my paper. When I was done, I loved the look and decided to turn it into a card.

I stamped the Seaside Spray die cut piece with Crackle Paint background stamp in Seaside Spray ink and layered it with dimensionals on a Whisper White card base. I love the shadows popping it up gives. I masked off the With Love & Sympathy sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings and embossed it in white on night of Navy card stock. I added a paper pieced flower top and a rhinestone to finish it off. Simple, yet elegant.

I kept the simple elegance going for my coordinating project.

I added a die cut panel to a gable treat box. (which i just realized are retired. Oops. You could do the same thing with one of the pizza boxes.) The sentiment is from Well Said. A little rhinestone in the flower is a fun detail.

This is a great duo to let someone know how much they mean to you. Thanks for stopping by. Go check out the rest of the hop to see the amazing projects the OSAT Design Team has created. osat blog hop: fabulous florals

It is time for another One Stamp at a Time blog hop! Today, we are spotlighting those fabulous florals. I am SO ready for them to start blooming around here. I was over winter three months ago! And yet we keep getting cold weather and snow… ah, spring time in Minnesota.

My projects feature the beautiful All That You Are stamp set and the gorgeous Floral Romance Designer Series Paper in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.

This card and sweet little gift box would be great for a bridal shower or for a good friend.

I started with a Soft Sea Foam card base and stamped the floral spray in Mossy Meadow. The floral vellum in the Floral Romance dsp is so beautiful. And the dark leaves help hide the adhesive as does the corrugated Mossy Meadow strip. The sentiment is embossed in white on Fresh Fig card stock and tied with a bit of the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon. A few Frosted Flower embellishments with pearls in the center complete the card.

This adorable little gift box uses one of the Clear Tiny Treat boxes wrapped in the floral vellum. The top is decorated with the flowers and other dies from the Frosted Bouquet Framelits.

A little bit of Fresh Fig ribbon and some pearls are the perfect accents for the florals. The sentiment is from the Well Said stamp set also in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.
