osat blog hop: mash up

Hello friends! I’m am happy to be hopping with the One Stamp at a Time design team to share some creativity with you today. This month is the release of the NEW Stampin’ UP! annual catalog, so the OSAT team is bringing you a mash up blending old and new products.

For this card and gift box I used: new products Hand Penned Petals stamp set and coordinating dies, and Hand Penned and Pattern Party DSP, old products 2020-22 In Color Cinnamon Cider and Linen Thread.

I like the unexpected use of Cinnamon Cider for the florals, drawing from the same color in the DSP pattern.

I used the same general idea for the gift box, but used the Penned Flowers dies cut out of Cinnamon Cider card stock. I cut two of the floral image on top, glued the together except at the base which I folded out and adhered to the box top so it stands up.

slice of joy

As we reach the end of December, I have a couple Christmas cards left to share with you. Today I am mad for buffalo plaid! There is something about the red and black check that screams winter to me.

This card uses the Buffalo Check back ground stamp, Pretty Pines dies (retired) and Joy die from Stampin’ Up! and Crimped Frame and Wood Slices dies from The Greetery

A fun, rustic way to send some Christmas JOY! I am so excited to share my granddaughter’s first Christmas! It definitely adds a new JOY to the season! I hope you have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas!

blessed Christmas wishes

Welcome friends! Now that Thanksgiving has had its moment, it is time to head into Christmas mode. My playlists are ready. Bring on the decorations and hot cocoa. (You can keep the snow, cold weather and short days though.). This month will be extra special as our granddaughter celebrates her first Christmas!

For today’s card, I combined the Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder, Plaid Tidings dsp, and Most Wonderful Time product medley dies.

Today’s card would be a great one to mass produce. Especially if you left off the white shimmer paint on the tree. I love the feel of an evergreen forest this card achieves.

Hello friends! Are you ready for another Paper Craft Crew Challenge?

This is a great card sketch. It is a great go-to layout with a lot of possibilities. I just got some new goodies from Stampin’ Up! that I was ready to get creative with. And immediately knew what I wanted to do with this sketch.

I love the cut out tree from the Pine Woods dies. It’s hard to see, but the Old Olive layer beneath the white oval has been embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D folder. The card base is sponged with Pear Pizzazz ink for a subtle shadow.

Texture can go along way to step up a card design. There is a lot of texture on this simple card. I love die cut words, and the Joy die cut is a fun greeting for this layout.

There are so many great new products in the Jan – Jun 2020 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog. I absolutely love the Parisian Blossoms Suite of products. The Parisian Beauty stamp set and coordinating Parisian dies are inspiring. The Parisian Blossoms DSP is beautiful. And this suite includes one of my favorite products in the mini catalog – Champagne Rhinestones!

I paired these products with a Basic Gray card base. The deep gray is a beautiful compliment to the colors in the dsp. The flourish die cut from Champagne foil adds a bit of texture and detail.

OSAT Blog Hop: purses, poppies and Paris

Welcome to the first One Stamp At A Time design team blog hop of 2020! For this blog hop we are featuring products int he new Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog. I am putting the Tropical Oasis Suite center stage today. I created a fun tropical card and an adorable little 3D pineapple!

The card uses the beautiful Tropical Oasis designer series paper, Timeless Tropical stamp set and In the Tropics dies. I also used the fun circle stamp from the Swirly Frames set.

For the adorable 3D pineapple, I followed a pattern from Martha Inchley. you can find her pattern and a video tutorial HERE. I followed her pattern, but used the pineapple top from the In the Tropics dies. I cut three of them, folded them in half and glued them together. It didn’t matter that they didn’t match up exactly, it added to the rough look a pineapple has.

I added some linen thread through the leaves so it could be hung if you wanted.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check out the rest OSAT blog hop. Head on over to Charlet to see her fun projects by clicking on the NEXT button.

Christmastime is here

Christmas is coming! But, the Christmastime is Here product Suite from Stampin’ Up! is almost gone! It is only available until the end of November. Don’t miss out on getting yours. It is a beautiful suite and works for more than just Christmas projects.

One great thing is that images in the Designer Series Paper can be cut out with the Roses Dies! All the hard work is done for you. You can make a gorgeous card in a matter of minutes! Like the floral centerpiece in this card –

I added a piece of retired black and white striped DSP from my stash. I love the contrast it provides. This DSP is just gorgeous! I may need to get another pack before it is gone.
