grateful, thankful, blessed

With Thanksgiving this week, I had to create a little something to reflect my thoughts. I had this fun paper stack from Simple Stories and it was perfect for this project.

In the midst of all the confusion and chaos, count your blessings. I am truly grateful, thankful and blessed.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello friends! Are you ready for another Paper Craft Crew Challenge?

This is a great card sketch. It is a great go-to layout with a lot of possibilities. I just got some new goodies from Stampin’ Up! that I was ready to get creative with. And immediately knew what I wanted to do with this sketch.

I love the cut out tree from the Pine Woods dies. It’s hard to see, but the Old Olive layer beneath the white oval has been embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D folder. The card base is sponged with Pear Pizzazz ink for a subtle shadow.

Texture can go along way to step up a card design. There is a lot of texture on this simple card. I love die cut words, and the Joy die cut is a fun greeting for this layout.

Head on over to the Paper Craft Crew blog and check out the rest of the inspiration from the PCC Design Team!

paper craft crew challenge #389

Wow, is it time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge already? That week flew by. Wait, I know why…We spent the week at a cabin in Northern Minnesota. It was very relaxing and good to get away for a bit.

It is good to get back in my studio though. And a PCC challenge is a great way to get the creative juices flowing again. This week’s challenge is a horizontal card sketch.

When I saw the three red strips, I knew I had to use sentiments from the new Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper in the 2020 Aug-Jan mini catalog. This paper is so much fun. I didn’t do any stamping on this card. The paper get the whole stage this time.

I fussy cut the house and tree out from one of the DSP prints and the sentiments from another. The sentiments are in several different languages. So much fun!

So, there it is. My first Christmas card of the season. I don’t even want to think about cold weather. I am definitely a summer girl.
