Sale-a-Bration is soon coming to an end, and I realized that there are several sets I haven’t played with yet.  I had better get to work!   Today’s card is a quick and easy birthday greeting with the Eclectic Expressions Sale-a-Bration set.   This card size is 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.  Color scheme is Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist and Pumpkin Pie.

I love the style of this set.  It can be used for great backgrounds or as a focal point.  I definitely need to create more with this one.

Panda Birthday

I have another Party Pandas card to share with you. I seriously can not get enough of these little guys.  They are so cute!

Party Panda - Center Stage Stamping

I like how the little panda is partly off the panel.  Looks like he is stretching up with his balloon.  I stamped the balloon on Lemon Lime Twist, stamped the confetti image in it and fussy cut it out.  It is popped up on a mini dimensional.  The main Lemon Lime Twist card base is embossed with the Oh My Stars embossing folder.  A strip from the Picture Perfect DSP stack helps set off the image panel.  What a cheerful birthday greeting!

Sale-a-Bration is almost over – don’t miss your chance to get these adorable Pandas (or any of the other great Sale-a-Bration items) for FREE with a qualifying purchase.  You can hop on over to my Stampin’ Up! store from the pull down tab at the top of this page and grab yours today!

Hidden Gems Blog Hop

I’m back with my Inky Friends for another Blog Hop.  This time we are featuring Hidden Gems – sets that are often overlooked in the annual Stampin’ Up! calendar. Be sure to make your way through all of the stops on our hop.  You may find a new favorite set or two along the way.

I am featuring Celebration Time.  This set is a lot of fun for birthday projects and the coordinating framelits add to it’s versatility.

Celebration Time - Center Stage Stamping

This first project has a very classy look thanks to the silver stripes from the Sale-A-Bration Springtime Foils Specialty DSP.  The black panel is embossed with the Petal Pair Textured Impressions embossing folder.  I couldn’t get it to photograph well.  I cut out the cake framelit in silver and white (which had been stamped with the sentiment).  I trimmed off the bow and base on the white and layered it on the silver.  A paper doily, some silver sequin trim and a few rhinestones finish off this elegant card.

Celebration Time - Center Stage Stamping

For this next card, I played around with some watercoloring.  I started with a wash of Pool Party on panel of watercolor paper.  Once it was dry, I stamped “celebrate” in Calypso Coral.  I flicked some Bermuda Bay ink from my aquapainter for a little more depth.  For the cake I cut out the framelit in Pool Party and Watercolor paper. I Slowly built up layers of Calypso Coral to create the ombre look on the cake.  The little flower is actually on of the pieces for the top of the party hat. There are also a few of the clear epoxy shapes scattered on the card.  Simple, but fun!

Celebration Time - Center Stage Stamping

This time I decided to focus on some of the bolder images in the set.  Pair them with Lemon Lime Twist and Tempting Turquoise and you have a bold, fun card.  This flower was created using both of the tops for the party hat.

Celebration Time Tags - Center Stage Stamping

For my final project, I made some fun gift tags.  I hope you see what a great set Celebration Time is.

A Dapper Day

The title of today’s post definitely refers to the card I made, not the weather.  Freezing rain, high winds, snow coming – Yuck!  But that means more time in my studio. I have another card featuring the Truly Tailored suite.  What can I say, I was on a roll.

Dapper Day - Center Stage Stamping

I started with a Night of Navy card base and added a Navy panel I embossed with the Simple Stripes embossing folder.  I used Stampin’ Write Markers in Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide, Chocolate Chip and Crushed Curry on the sentiment stamp and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes framelits.  Finished off with a True Gentleman button and some Linen Thread.  Fun greeting for the dapper gent in your life.

Love It Live It Share It Blog Hop

Today I’m hopping with my Inky Friends in the Love it. Live it. Share it Blog Hop!  We all are showcasing different sets from the Occasions Catalog. I have the honor to be the first stop to kick things off. Make sure you go through and check out everyone’s blog.  There are some fantastic projects out there.

I am shining a spotlight on the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set.  This set also has a fantastic suite of products to go with it.  So. Much. Fun. Are you ready for some inspiration?  Let’s get started. First up I have a fun little treat box.

treat yourself box - Center Stage Stamping

I made a little 2-4-6-8 box, similar to the one here, out of the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Love the foil dots!  I stamped the little tag, layered it on the Lemon Lime Twist banner and clipped it to the box with one of the Birthday Mini Binder Clips tied with a bit of Berry Burst Metallic-Edge  Ribbon and piece of Bermuda Bay from the Sale-A-Bration Shimmer Ribbon Pack. A tiny rhinestone to add a little bling on the candle finishes it off.

Next I have 3 different Birthday cards. First is a 3″x6″ greeting showing off the coordinating Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper.  I love the realistic photo quality images in this stack.  I used the candles for this one.  Stamped the sentiment right on the DSP and layered it on striped pattern also form the stack.  I stamped the bow in Pool Party on the card base and used Bermuda Bay stamped off for the little shadow details.  A Lemon Lime Twist In Color Bitty Bow is the finishing touch.

Picture Perfect Candles - Center Stage Stamping

This next card also features the Picture Perfect Party DSP stack.  I have to give credit to Mercedes Weber for the polaroid idea.  The photo realistic paper is perfect for this.

Picture Perfect Polaroid - Center Stage Stamping

I used the Layering Squares Framelits to cut out the polaroid frames.  Stamped Happy Birthday in Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst and layered the dsp images behind.  It is hard to see, but the Basic Black card base is embossed with the Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder.  I finished off the card with some rhinestones and Lemon Lime Twist 3/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon.

My last project is another Birthday card, but this one let’s the Stamp set take center stage.

Birthday Treat Yourself - Center Stage Stamping

I started with a 3.5″x5.5″  Crumb Cake card base.  I added a layer of the Wood Textures DSP and a Berry Burst panel layered on the striped piece from the dsp stack.  I used the large Happy Birthday from Perennial Birthday stamp set to create the background for the white heat embossed “Celebrate the Good Stuff” greeting from the Picture Perfect Birthday set.  I stamped and cut out the candle, bow and noisemaker.  The present is one of the patterns in the DSP stack.  two Pool Party strips create the “ribbon” around the gift.  I really like the Wood Texture DSP as the background for this.

Hope you are inspired to create some Birthday fun with the Picture Perfect Birthday set!

Have a Birthday Brew

I had some fun playing along with another challenge at Fab Friday.  This time it is a sketch challenge.  Go check it out and play along!

I was inspired to use the Bubble Over set.  I have been having a lot of fun with this one lately.  I stayed pretty true to the sketch with my card, but decided to expand the focal shape.

Stampin' Up! Bubble Over - Center Stage Stamping

I am in love with the Bubbles and Fizz dsp in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  These colors are so bright and fun. Started with one of the Tutti-frutti cards also from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Layered the bottle print strip and the this strips (the thin coral strip is from one of the Tutti-frutti cards, too).  I die cut the bottle out from one of the sheets of dsp and layered it on a Starburst punched from another pattern in the pack.  Added the banner with the sentiment and finished off with some of the enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stamping!

Birthday Panda

A little Theatre update: This week is the last week of rehearsals for the Middle School musical – Disney’s Mulan Jr. – that I am co-directing.  The following week is show time.  That means the next 2 weeks are going to be CRAZY!  Making sure every last details comes together.  This show will end on Feb. 4 and on Feb. 5 I have auditions for the High School spring play that I direct. Plus, I am getting things ready for the summer children’s theatre workshop that I run.  Trying to find creative time in the studio will be a challenge this week.

I have one last (for now) Party Panda project to share with you.  This set has been SO much fun to work with.  (I have been creating some fun stuff with other sets as well, I promise.)

Birthday Panda - Center Stage Stamping

The card base is the Sale-A-Bration Tutti-Frutti cards and envelopes.  Our little panda friend stands out against the text background.  His hat was colored with Stampin’ Markers and the tiny little bow is Pool Party bakers twine. His balloon was colored with the new Blends markers.  Made it a breeze to do the shading.  A fun birthday greeting for friends of any age.

Panda on Ice

WooHoo!  It’s actually above freezing!  What a joy to go out and the air doesn’t hurt my face.  I know it won’t last.  We still have at least 2 months of winter ahead.  You would think I would be used to it, having lived in MN my entire life (except for a brief stint in ND, but we don’t talk about that).  Growing up in Northern MN, naturally Hockey was a big part of winter.  (Although, I personally come from a Basketball family.)  When I saw this card that Diana Gibbs made, I knew I had to make one of my own.

Panda Hockey - Center Stage Stamping

Yes, I used Party Pandas again.  I just can’t seem to stop.  The greeting is from Perennial Birthday and Labeler Alphabet. Can you guess where the hockey stick, puck and helmet came from?  They are in the Bottles and Bubbles Framelits – the straw, bottle cap and one of the labels!

Sorry, I forgot to get the bottle cap in the pic.   The hockey stick is cut from the Wood Textures dsp, and a thin strip of black washi tape wrapped around the stick helps the look. I cut off the top of the label to make the helmet.  The green helmet is a nod to my high school team – the Roseau Rams.  What a fun birthday greeting for a hockey fan.

It’s a Panda Party

I’m back again with the Party Pandas.  I just love this set of happy little pandas.  They are so cute.  Pair them with a color scheme of Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist and Real Red and it’s a panda party!Party Panda Center Stage

I fussy cut out 3 of these little guys and put my panda pyramid on some grass I cut with the retired fringe scissors.  I used two Sale-A-Bration items for this card: the Party Pandas set and the Tutti Frutti Cards and Envelopes.  I love these card bases and matching envelopes.  So much fun!  The little posts the panda is holding are strips cut from the Wood Textures DSP.  I tied tiny knots in some red baker’s twine then cut and frayed the ends to give tiny little poms to their party hats.  Who wouldn’t love a birthday greeting from these little guys?

Treat Yourself

I can’t help but think of Parks and Recreation when I hear the phrase “Treat Yourself”.  I have to thank my oldest daughter for introducing me to it a few years ago. Since then, we have had our own “Treat Yourself” days.

I was happy to see this phrase included in the new Picture Perfect Birthday set! Pair it with the new Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper Stack and you have a quick eye catching card.

SU! Picture Perfect Birthday

This DSP is a real WOW! I wanted to let it take center stage on this card, so I kept the card fairly simple. The Stitched Shapes Framelits are a great way to add a little detail to the greeting.

Go treat yourself to a look at the new Occasions mini catalog! And don’t forget it’s Sale-a-Bration time – FREE stamps with a qualifying purchase!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Stamping!
