Birthday

Hi, Friends! Welcome to another awesome challenge with the Paper Craft Crew!

Check out this fun layout:

This design is great for using up card stock and patterned paper scraps! I love mixing patterns on a layout like this. So many different look are possible.

For this card I used Stampin’ Up!’s Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper and Biggest Wish stamp set. “Birthday” is stamped in Magenta Madness ink to coordinate with the paper. “Happy” was stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Threw on a little Soft Succulent gingham ribbon. I like how the simple gingham contrasts with the elegant hints of gold in the DSP.

geometric bday

Hi there! I wanted to pop in today and share this fun geometric card. I love the new Watercolor Shapes stamp set from Stampin’ Up!. These shapes will be great for subtle backgrounds. For this card I wanted to put the shapes in the spotlight.

I stamped the shapes in Mint Macron, Soft Seafoam, and Pear Pizzazz. The sentiment from Biggest Wish are stamped in black and Shaded Spruce. Adding some thin paper strips to the card base helped anchor the stitched panel and give some added detail. I threw in some rhinestones for a bit of sparkle. I think I might add some black enamel dots instead of rhinestones if I was going to send this to a guy.

Hello friends! Let’s check out this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge!

For my card, I stayed pretty true to the layout except, I used a tag in place of the oval.

Black and white with a pop of bright pink is definitely on of my favorites! (check out my previous post!) I added some ink blending on the tag for an extra wow. Finish off with a few ribbons and rhinestones for added texture.

Hello crafty friends! I’m excited to pop in today with a card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge. PCC has a fun Tic Tac Toe challenge for us. Choose any 3 in a row- horizontal, vertical, or diagonal – and incorporate them all into your project.

I have to admit, I looked at this and immediately saw Animals and Any Shade of Green and got to work. Only I made a birthday card instead of a thank you. I was about to start over, when I noticed the card fit the middle horizontal row! Circles, Patterned Paper and Embossing – with Animals and Green thrown in.

The card is a mini slim and measures 3.5″x6″. The adorable unicorn and sentiments are from the Little Critters set form Taylored Expressions. I colored the unicorn’s mane, horn, and nose with Copic markers. The striped paper is from My Favorite Things. The sentiment is embossed in white on black card stock. and the circle gems are from Studio Katia. Such a bright and cheerful card!

Please head over to the Paper Craft Crew blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s projects. The take the challenge and create your own project. Be sure to share it with the PCC page.

birthday bear

I think this sweet little bear from the Anita Jeram Happy Day set from Colorado Craft Company might be one of my favorite images ever. He’s just so adorable! I created this card for my dear friend Lisa for her birthday.

He was so much fun to watercolor! I used Karin markers and one of my new watercolor paint brushes from Altenew. The dies used are all from Taylored Expressions.

Welcome back, crafty friends! Today’s card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge.

I’ll admit, I sat and pondered this sketch for quite awhile before settling on what I would do. And the card changed direction a few times. Here is what I finally landed on.

I used the Let’s Party Turnabout stamp and Yay for Birthdays stamp set from Concord & 9th, and Guava, Pineapple, Granny Smith and Cookie Monster inks and card stock from Taylored Expressions.

Greetings, crafty friends! Time to check out this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge. I think this is a really fun one – Let’s let the critters take center stage!

I love cards with fun little critters on them. Lately, I have been having fun with the wonderful critter sets from Colorado Craft Company featuring the work of Anita Jeram. These are so much fun to color. I’m especially drawn to her sweet bunnies. Like this one from the Birthday Wishing set.

I stamped him on water color paper and painted him with Karin Markers. Sweet little bunny with a birthday balloon. So cute!

Be sure to stop by the Paper Craft Crew blog and check out the inspiration from the rest of the design team. Then, join the fun and share your own critter creation! Thanks for stopping by! Join me again to shine a spotlight on creativity!

nut brown hare

When my kids were little, one of my favorite books to read to them was Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney, illustrated by Anita Jeram.

I just love those adorable nut brown hares. I recently found out that Colorado Craft Company has a line of stamps designed by the one and only, Anita Jeram! I ordered the Birthday Wishing set and now I can have some adorable bunnies on my own creations!

This little guy is so much fun to color. I used Copic markers here, and I can’t wait to try water color and colored pencils.

Thanks for stopping by. Join me again to shine a spotlight on creativity! And to my kids, and my granddaughter – I love you to the moon…and back!

Welcome friends! Let’s play along with another fun challenge from the Paper Craft Crew. This week is a great horizontal card sketch.

I have kind of been in a same old/same old rut lately. So, I pulled out some new stamps and a different color palette. I used Concord & 9th’s new Let’s Party Turnabout and Yay for Birthdays dies. And I used my C9 inks in Sea Glass, Evergreen, Stardust and Sorbet. I LOVE these colors together!

I used my blending brushes to add a soft layer of Stardust in to the stitched circle. I felt the Stardust card stock was a little too much competition for the stamped gift and balloon.

Such a fun birthday greeting to send to a friend! We’d love to see what you create with this fun sketch. Come on over to the Paper Craft Crew blog and join the challenge!
