Card Sketch

Hi, Friends! Welcome to another awesome challenge with the Paper Craft Crew!

Check out this fun layout:

This design is great for using up card stock and patterned paper scraps! I love mixing patterns on a layout like this. So many different look are possible.

For this card I used Stampin’ Up!’s Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper and Biggest Wish stamp set. “Birthday” is stamped in Magenta Madness ink to coordinate with the paper. “Happy” was stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Threw on a little Soft Succulent gingham ribbon. I like how the simple gingham contrasts with the elegant hints of gold in the DSP.

Welcome, crafty friends! Let’s check out this week’s challenge from the Paper Craft Crew!

Another great card layout to spark your creativity! I like the different layers slightly angled. I had some pieces sitting on my desk that worked great for this sketch.

I had been playing with the Rainbow Repeat stencil from Taylored Expressions. I used Salt Water Taffy, Pineapple, Pink Champagne, and Sweet Potato TE inks. The rainbow panel worked great with the Salt Water Taffy panel embossed with clouds. I also love the petite rainbow and sentiment. They are from a set that was a Stamp Joy (a TE virtual stamping event) exclusive. So much fun!

The Paper Craft Crew would love it if you joined the challenge. You can find more details and inspiration on the Paper Craft Crew blog. Thanks for stopping by! Join me again to shine a spotlight on creativity!

Hello friends! Let’s check out this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge!

For my card, I stayed pretty true to the layout except, I used a tag in place of the oval.

Black and white with a pop of bright pink is definitely on of my favorites! (check out my previous post!) I added some ink blending on the tag for an extra wow. Finish off with a few ribbons and rhinestones for added texture.

Welcome, friends! Let’s check out this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge.

I went for a rustic look with Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and some wood patterned paper from the In Good Taste DSP pack.

I colored the sunflowers with Crushed Curry, So Saffron, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.

Welcome back, crafty friends! Today’s card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge.

I’ll admit, I sat and pondered this sketch for quite awhile before settling on what I would do. And the card changed direction a few times. Here is what I finally landed on.

I used the Let’s Party Turnabout stamp and Yay for Birthdays stamp set from Concord & 9th, and Guava, Pineapple, Granny Smith and Cookie Monster inks and card stock from Taylored Expressions.

Hello, Friends! I excited to be back with another Paper Craft Crew challenge! Check out this great card layout –

I can see so many possibilities with this sketch. I needed to add some masculine cards to my stash, so I pulled out the Well Suited DSP and Handsomely Suited stamp set and got to work. It was fun deciding which patterns of the DSP to use.

The bow tie was colored with Poppy Parade and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. This paper looks like it could have come right out a man’s closet. Which, in fact, it did!

I am popping in today to share my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge. Check out this fun card sketch –

I was working on this card last weekend when I was at my first Craft Retreat. I had limited supplies with, so I felt it really upped the challenge for me. Here is what I created:

I used some fun products from The Stamp Market: Happiest of Birthdays stamp set and coordinating dies and from Concord & 9th: Let’s Party Turnabout stamp, and inks – Sorbet, Stardust, Sea Glass and Evergreen.

Welcome friends! Let’s play along with another fun challenge from the Paper Craft Crew. This week is a great horizontal card sketch.

I have kind of been in a same old/same old rut lately. So, I pulled out some new stamps and a different color palette. I used Concord & 9th’s new Let’s Party Turnabout and Yay for Birthdays dies. And I used my C9 inks in Sea Glass, Evergreen, Stardust and Sorbet. I LOVE these colors together!

I used my blending brushes to add a soft layer of Stardust in to the stitched circle. I felt the Stardust card stock was a little too much competition for the stamped gift and balloon.

Such a fun birthday greeting to send to a friend! We’d love to see what you create with this fun sketch. Come on over to the Paper Craft Crew blog and join the challenge!

Welcome crafty friends! I’m so glad you are here. Let’s play along with this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge. This week we have a fun vertical card sketch to work with.

Sometimes with a card sketch, it takes a while for an idea to form. Not with this one. Once I grabbed the Zoo Globe stamp set, I knew what I wanted to do.

The darling little elephant was colored with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends with a little Marvelous Magenta on the toenails. The black and white striped panel is from the True Love DSP in the Jan-June ’21 Stampin’ Up! mini catalog.

Hello friends! I’m here with my creation for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. I really enjoy using card sketches as a starting point for a card.

Sometimes, I stick to a sketch closely. Sometimes, I like to look for unique takes on elements in the sketch. This time, I did a bit of both.

I used a stencil and blending brush to create the “wash” background and a flower for the circle element. The rest of the card is true to the sketch. A fun card for a friend.

Come on and play along with the Paper Craft Crew! I’d love to see what you create with this sketch!
